SEO Meta Tags, having an optional template for our own search terms?

After 22 years on ebay and a feedback over 20000, Etsy was a learning curve for me.  In 6 months, because it was similar to ebay, I sold 1350 items, with 1100 transactions.  The 13 tags you enter on that platform are a time consuming bother, but they uniquely offer sellers a benefit in terms of item pricing.  I could have an item $10 higher than my competition and still sell it, as buyers search terms, seem to be pulling different results.  Maybe an optional template to add our own meta tags?  Searches that only use the title line, likely return to many of the same item, driving the asking price down?
