Creating items manually
Click on the "Item list" tab in the top-right corner. Here, you can select to view and add items to a master list for all connected accounts, or for a specific account.
Once there, click the yellow "New Item" button in the top-left and select "Add item" from the drop-down, then choose the account(s) you wish to add the item to. After you've selected the account(s), hit the "Next" button in the bottom-right corner.
You'll then be guided to fill in the fields necessary to create a listing for all accounts and platforms you've selected. If you've selected to post the item to both a Bonanza and an eBay account, the guide will direct you through setting up your Bonanza listing first, and then direct you to fill in the eBay details.
Item Information & Basic Item Details
Here's where you'll input the basics for your listing. Basic item details include:
- Title
- Category
- Description
- Quantity
- Price
- Image(s)
Clicking into the "Primary Category" field will allow you to select from a list of categories. We recommend selecting the furthest category possible to ensure your listings are properly indexed and can easily be found by buyers on both Bonanza and eBay.
Look here for tips on how to write the perfect title or price your products to sell.
Once you've filled in the fields, click the yellow "Next" button in the lower-right corner to continue.
Item Variations & Specifics
On this page, you'll be able to fill in item traits and variations based on the category you selected in the Item Information section. If your listing has variations, such as multiple colors or sizes, click the link next to "Variations exist for this item" at the top of the page.
Click the "Add" link next to the existing variation(s) that are appropriate for your listing. You can also enter your own detail to create a variation if it doesn't already exist in the list. Hit "Next" in the bottom-right corner to proceed.
Now that you've selected your variation type(s), add the details of the available variation(s) by typing into the field. For example, when using "size" as a variation, you might submit "Small, medium, large, etc." Hit the "Enter" or "Return" key on your keyboard to create each individual variation detail. If you accidentally create a variation that is not available, click on the value to remove it. Once you've entered all the variations for the listing, click the "Create variations with specifications" button, then hit the "Next" button in the bottom-right corner to proceed.
Now you'll be able to set a quantity and price for each available variation by clicking into the fields. Hit "Save" in the lower-right corner to add those variation details to your listing.
Shipping and Other Details
The Shipping & Other Details tab allows you to input information such as Merchandise SKU, return policy information, and shipping details (free, flat rate or calculated shipping). Note that depending on which platform you are posting to (Bonanza or eBay), the information you must include will vary. If you're only posting to one platform, you'll have the option to either Save the listing or Save and Sync, which will automatically post your listing for sale on your selected platform(s) in just a few moments. Note that at this time, Spark Lister only supports domestic shipping within the US.
Forgot to include some important information? No worries! Use the "Back" button in the lower-right corner of the page at any time, or select the tab you wish to return to from the navigation toolbar on the left side of the program. Be sure to select the account you wish to manage from the options at the top if you've selected multiple accounts and marketplaces during the listing creation process.
Creating items from a template
Templates allow sellers to input general listing details that apply to multiple products so they can quickly create new listings without having to repeatedly fill in the same information. Think of it as using the "Duplicate" feature on Bonanza.
To create a template, visit the "Item list" tab and select "Master List" from the drop-down. You can also access your Master List at any time by clicking the Spark Lister logo. From the Master List, click the "New item" button and select "From template" from the drop-down menu.
If you've already created any templates, you'll be able to view and edit them here. To create a new template, click the "Add new template" button in the top-left.
The process for creating a template will be the same as manually creating a new item. You will be guided to set up the listing by filling in the fields required for each marketplace you choose to post the items to (Bonanza and/or eBay).
Once you've filled in the appropriate details, click the "Save" button in the lower-right corner to save the template.
The template will now live in your template list, where you will have the option to "Use as item."
Select the marketplace(s) you want to post to, then review and edit the information as needed. Save or Save and Sync to post to the selected platforms.
Bulk uploading items from a CSV
Sellers can bulk upload their listings to Spark Lister using a CSV file. Visit your item list and click the "New item" button, then select "Bulk import" from the drop-down.
In the top right is a button to "Download template." Sellers must use this template to create their CSV and bulk upload inventory. The file contains fields pertinent to both Bonanza and eBay.
After you've built your CSV file, select the marketplaces you wish to post listings to. Paste the CSV file path into the field, then validate the file and upload the CSV.
Saving and syncing with marketplaces
When creating listings on Spark Lister, sellers can either "Save" the listing for later or "Save and sync" to immediately post the item to the selected marketplace(s). Listings that have been "Saved" can be synced later.
To manage your sync settings, click on the "Item list" tab and select the account you wish to manage from the drop-down. Here, you'll see a list of all items you've listed for that account. Select your listings and click the "Sync" button at the top of your item list.
By selecting the "Sync from marketplace" option, sellers can also choose to sync active listings that are already posted to their selected marketplace account with SparkLister. This will copy or update the items on Bonanza or eBay to Spark Lister.
Item Status
When viewing the item list for a specific account, you'll see an overview of each listing's status. Here's a breakdown of what those various states mean:
- Ready to sync: These items are ready to sync to the marketplace account.
- Sold: These items have been sold. Sold items can no longer be edited or deleted from the account.
- Incomplete: These listings are missing required fields. The listing needs one or more field populated before it can be posted for sale. Required fields on Bonanza are title, category and price.
- Item(s) for sale:
- Active: The listing is currently live and available for interested buyers to purchase.
- Ready for sale: The listing has all the required fields populated and will be posted for sale the next time the booth is updated.
