Bonanza gives sellers the tools to control how buyers can checkout in their booth.
To review and set your purchasing options, point your mouse over the "Selling" link in the upper left-hand corner of any page, then select "Booth settings" from the drop-down and click on the the "Payments & purchases" tab.
Enabling OBO ("Or Best Offer")
Enabling "Or best offer (OBO)" means that your prices are negotiable. Buyers can submit an offer to you and you have the option to accept or deny that offer. If there is a minimum price you are willing to accept, you can set an "Instant offer price" via the item listing page or batch editor so that our system automatically accepts any offers higher than the indicated price, allowing the buyer to checkout immediately without having to wait for your approval.
Adding Shipping to an Offer via Custom Invoicing
If you elect to use OBO, be sure to take a look at Custom invoicing. Custom invoicing allows the seller to add shipping, provide discounts, etc. If custom invoicing is not configured, no changes can be made to an offer. The seller can only accept or deny the offer. See the "How do I send an invoice" help article for details.
I Don't Have OBO Enabled, why am I Receiving Offers?
Whether you allow OBO purchases or not, buyers will be able to purchase your goods at the specified listing price as long as shipping has been added to the listing, (Flat rate, Free or Calculated). Using "See item description" will not allow your buyer to checkout without first submitting an offer to you for approval. If you do not have "Or Best Offer" enabled in your account, then the only orders that will come in as offers will be offers from users who are outside your current shipping options. So, if you do not have international shipping set up, and a buyer from Spain wants to buy your items, we will not let them "Buy it now" because we cannot automatically determine the shipping cost for that location, therefore we send it as an offer.
Another scenario where you can get an offer is when you have calculated shipping on your items and our system is not able to calculate the shipping (most likely because USPS, FedEx or UPS does not give us rates). In that case, we will send those as offers, too.
How do I know when the buyer has paid?
Once a buyer has paid for the item, the transaction will show as "Payment Complete" in the Items Sold section of your Selling page. If you have sales notifications turned on in your settings, Bonanza will email you indicating the payment is complete.
