Coupons allow a user to enter a code during checkout to buy your items at a discount. Creating custom coupons is also a great way to promote the items you have for sale.
Creating coupons
To create a custom coupon, hover over the "Selling" link located in the upper-left corner of any page and click the "Booth settings" link from the drop-down menu, then click the "Discounts & coupons" tab. Enter your coupon code and discount amount in the coupon creation box.
If you wish to make the coupon public, click the button to "Publish this coupon." Published coupons will be advertised in your listing headers, as well as on our Coupons & Deals page. If you do not publish your coupon, it will remain private and you must manually provide buyers with the coupon code for them to receive the discount. You are limited to publishing 2 coupons per month.
Sellers also have the option to make the coupon a premium discount. This means that you can use the "Cost" drop-down to choose a certain amount of tokens (100, 500 or 1000) to charge buyers before they can use the coupon. For every coupon purchased by a buyer, we’ll split the profit with you 50/50. This means if you charge 100 tokens for a coupon, you get 50 tokens, and Bonanza gets the other 50.
Lastly, when creating your custom coupon, you have the option to automatically send the coupon as a gift to buyers when they leave positive feedback on their purchase from your booth. This small token of appreciation is just one way to help build repeat customers. To make the coupon extra exciting for buyers, you're required to offer at least a 10% discount.
Be sure to save any changes you make before navigating away.
Removing coupons
To delete a coupon, click the "Remove coupon" link next to the coupon you wish to delete, then save the changes.
Combined Item Discounts
Combined item discounts can be setup in the Discounts & coupons page of your Edit Booth Options area (Selling -> Booth settings -> Discounts & coupons). They are pre-set percentage or dollar amount discounts available to anybody who spends more than the specified amount on items from your booth.
Can I discount a specific group of items instead?
Currently, you can’t create an item price discount or coupon for just one item--these discounts apply to your booth as a whole. To discount a specific group of items, you’ll want to check out our Customer Marketing Campaigns, which let you create marketing campaigns for specific categories in your booth (i.e. 20% off Women’s Dresses). You can also access the usernames, purchasing history, and messaging history of your past customers.
What about discounting one single item?
To discount just one item and have the discount be visible on the listing page, you’ll want to check out Item Markdowns. Item markdowns are a promotional tool we offer to our Gold pro members and higher that allows sellers to give buyers a temporary discount on their merchandise.
