Each brand and each store is different from any other, and our ever-growing selection of Webstore themes allows you to customize your Webstore's homepage to make a great first impression. If you haven't already signed up for a Webstore, you can do so here.
To get started editing, click on the "Selling" link in the upper-left corner of any Bonanza page. Once you are viewing the "Selling Dashboard" page, select the "Webstore" tab on the toolbar on the left side of the page and click on "Basic settings." Scroll to the bottom of your settings page, then click the "Customize your homepage" link to visit your Webstore in preview mode, where you can customize your homepage and navigation.
Editable regions (controls)
Any area highlighted in a light blue box can be customized. We'll call these blue boxes "controls." Click on the control box to launch a popup window that allows you to edit the features of the element.
Clicking the "Save and update Webstore" button will save your changes and immediately update the look of your Webstore for your visitors. To cancel any changes, click the "Cancel these changes" link. Canceled changes will not be shown to your visitors.
Types of controls
There are currently seven different types of controls. Each theme uses these controls differently.
Edit your logo
Most Webstore themes give you the choice of using the default text treatment for the theme, or uploading and using your own logo image.
For best results, logo images should be either .png or .jpg files.
Changes made to your logo will appear in the header on all of the pages of your Webstore.
Edit your catalog navigation
Using this control, you can decide which categories appear in the main navigation of your Webstore.
Adding a category
To add a new category to your catalog navigation, click the "Add a category" link. This will insert a drop-down box that says "Select a category." The drop down box is pre-populated with the names of categories that you have items for sale in.
Select a category from the drop-down by clicking or typing a category name. You may add multiple categories to your catalog navigation by clicking the "Add a category" link.
To remove a selection, click the "X" next to the category name.
You can change the order in which your categories appear in the navigation by clicking and dragging to reorder. Whenever you see a draggable handle () you can drag and drop the elements to change the order.
Changes made to the catalog navigation will appear in the header on all of the pages of your Webstore.
Adding a section
Some themes allow for multiple "sections" in your catalog navigation. This is dependent upon the theme, and not all themes will use this feature.
If your theme allows for multiple sections, you can add a section by clicking the blue "Add a section" tab. These tabs can be reordered by clicking and dragging on the draggable handle.
To remove a section, click the red "Delete section" button. Important: You must click the "Save and update homepage" button to completely delete the section and update your homepage.
If your booth uses custom categories, your Webstore will too. Just like in your booth, custom categories let you define your own categories so that buyers can browse through your Webstore the way you want them to. We recommend that Webstores use custom categories for the best buyer experience.

Edit menu navigation
With Bonanza Webstores, you can create your own custom pages for your Webstore. You may want to create an "About Us" page to let your customers know a bit about your business; or a "Sizing Info" page for stores that sell clothing or jewelry items.
You can choose which custom pages to include and in what order they should appear using the menu navigation control.
To add a new page to your menu navigation, click the "Manage pages" tab in your Webstore edit page on Bonanza and use the "Create a new page" button. Once you have created the page, you can add it to your menu navigation so that it appears at the top of your Webstore. The page must be published to appear in your navigation menu.
You can change the order in which your pages appear in the navigation by clicking and dragging the draggable handle to reorder.
Changes made to the menu navigation will appear in the header on all of the pages of your Webstore. Many themes will use menu navigation in both the header and footer of your Webstore.
Edit your homepage slideshow
Some themes include a slideshow element on the homepage. There are three different types of slides for a slideshow.
For best results, hero images should be either .png or .jpg files.
Content slides display brief text over top of a "hero" image that you upload. You can customize the content (or leave it empty) and specify a URL that the slide should link to (great for highlighting a specific product or category).
A banner slide is only a hero image that links to a page you specify. Banner slides are great if your hero image already includes text.
A video slide allows you to insert video on your homepage. You must specify your video service (either YouTube or Vimeo), and the video ID you want to play. When a visitor clicks on the banner, the video will pop up in a player right on the page.
Adding a slide
You can add a slide by clicking the blue "Add a slide" tab. These tabs can be reordered by clicking and dragging on the draggable handle.
To remove a slide, click the red "Delete slide" button. Important: You must click the "Save and update homepage" button to completely delete the slide and update your homepage.
Some themes include an editable text box on the page. This can be used to include a greeting to your visitor, inform them of any special offers, or direct them to a specific product or category.
Text controls use Textile formatting.
A "featured categories" (or "featured collections") section allows you to choose several categories to highlight on the home page.
Select a category from the drop-down by clicking or typing a category name. Each featured category gets its own hero image.

A "featured products" section allows you to choose a handful of your top products to highlight on the home page. You also have the option to auto-populate these listings.
To add a product, select "Hand-picked" for the list type, then click on the drop down and start typing a name of an item in your store or the item ID. You may include any item that is currently for sale in your store (pending, sold out, or incomplete items cannot be included). As you type, the list of available items will update. Click on the name of the item you want to add to your featured products section.
You can change the order in which your products appear by clicking and dragging the draggable handle to reorder.
Configure your promotional popup
Along the top "Webstore Preview" bar, you should see a link called "Configure promotional popup." Selecting this link will take you to a page where you can edit a popup that appears when buyers first visit your site. It allows you to display a one-time message to them, and if you'd like it has the ability to subscribe to your newsletter, or to offer them a coupon.
