Price Rules
This section describes setting price rules to business partner groups.
Creating and Viewing Partner Classification Groups
Navigate to the top menu and choose "Admin." From there, select "Classifications " in the left-hand menu, then click on "Create New Business Partner Classification Group"
Select "Pricing" as the type ID and give your group a name, then click the "Save" button.
You can now see that your group has been added to the list. If you want to view more details (such as which customers are part of the group), simply click on the green button with the group ID.
On the "Parties" tab, you can see who is assigned to the particular group, and you can also add parties by searching for their ID.
Product Price Types
To review the different price types for your products, navigate to a specific product by clicking the "PIM" tab in the top menu, entering the product ID, and clicking on the "Edit Product" button.
Here, you can view the types of prices that can be set for this product. These serve as factors for your price rules.
Creating Price Rules
To create the price rule, navigate to "Price Rules" in the left-hand menu, enter the name of your rule, and click the "Add" button. Once added, you will find the rule listed below and can access its settings by clicking on it.
In the settings, you can provide a more detailed description. You will also see a section for conditions, where you specify when the price rule will take effect. Finally, there is an Action section where you define the rule itself.
The system relies on a list price for all calculations. If you wish to exclude the list price from calculations, set the percentage to -100%
Here are some examples of pricing rules you can set.
Flat Amount Modify
Suppose the product list price is $10.00. If the "Flat Amount Modify" is set at $2.00, then the final price of the product will be $12.00.
The "Flat Amount Modify" can be negative value to reflect a reduction in price. In the picture below, you can see $10.00 is deducted per the "Flat Amount Modify" price rule.
Flat Amount Override
You do not want to just have a condition set for the party classification. This one you would have set for a party and also an actual product.
Suppose the product list price is $10.00, and the flat amount override is set at $2.00, then the final price of the product will be $2.00.
Percent of Average Cost
Suppose the product average cost is $10.00, and the percent of average cost is set at 80%, then the final price of the product will be $18.00.
Calculation:
price = list price + percent of average cost
If you do not want to include the list price, do not forget to remove it with a separate Action line.
Percent of Default Price
Suppose the product default price is $10.00, and the percentage of default price is set to 10%, then the final price of the product will be $11.00.
Calculation:
price = list price + percent of default price
This follows the same principle as in the example above. If you do not want to include the list price, do not forget to remove it with a separate Action line.
Percent of List Price
Suppose the product list price is $10.00, and the percentage of list price is set to 120%, then the final price of the product will be $22.00.
Calculation:
price = list price + percent of list price
This follows the same principle as in the examples above. If you do not want to include the list price, do not forget to remove it with a separate Action line.
Percent of Margin
Suppose the product margin (calculated internally or logic can be changed according to business) is $10.00, and the percentage of margin is set to 90%, then the final price of the product will be $19.00.
Calculation:
Currently, margin = list price - average cost. If margin is found zero, then list price is used as priority.
Promotion Rules
To set promotional pricing rules, navigate to the top menu and choose "PIM" and select "Promos" in the left-hand menu. To create a new product promo, click on "New Product Promo".
Name your promotion, set limits such as 'limit per order,' 'limit per customer,' or 'limit per promotion,' and write a description. Click the "Update" button to create the promotion.
To set rules for your promotion, navigate to the "Rules" tab, enter the name of your rule, and click the "Add" button.
Define the conditions for when this promotion will be applied and click the "Create" button. In our example, it triggers when the cart subtotal is greater than or equal to $100.
Refer to the image below to see the sections when adding your conditions.
In the "Create new action" field, you can set the action for your promotion. In our example, it involves applying a 100% discount on shipping fees when the promotional condition(s) is met.
In the "Store" tab, you will choose which store will have this promotion and the date from which it will take effect. If you want the promotion to take effect immediately, we recommend setting the date to the previous day.
All active promotions will be displayed to your customers at the bottom of your landing page in the section "What We Offer".
